2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion (Parent Workshop)
The Peel District School Board's Parent Involvement Committee invites parents, caregivers, School Council and community members to engage in learning about the unique experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ students at PDSB, how transphobia and homophobia negatively impacts our schools and classrooms, how to deconstruct harmful myths and stereotypes about the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and how to advocate for resources and practical strategies to support 2SLGBTQ+ children, youth and families. 
Please note registration is mandatory.  All parents, caregivers, School Council and community members are welcome to register. Walk-in attendees will not be admitted.

Part 2: Code of Conduct

PIC is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience.  Attendees are also responsible for assisting in these efforts. Presentation contents and subject matter may be upsetting or distressing to some attendees. 

  • Attendee video and audio recordings of the training sessions are prohibited.  Intellectual Property rights of the Trainer’s material will be respected. 

  • Attendees must inform PIC if they are experiencing a problem with another member.   

  • Respectful discussion and engagement with the Trainer, Facilitators and other Attendees is expected. 

  • Personal attacks against the Trainer, Facilitators, or other Attendees will not be tolerated. 

  • Attendees will not use foul or offensive language.   

  • Attacks against established research and theory will not be tolerated. 

  • Attendees must respect others and their property.   

  • Attendees must respect PDSB property. 

  • Attendees will be asked to withdraw from the training session if they are unable/unwilling to adhere to these terms.
