The 36th annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival will take place from September 11-22, 2024. In 2024, VQFF will provide 175 complimentary industry passes to equity-deserving filmmakers, programmers, and film students.

The aim of this initiative is to provide access for equity-deserving filmmakers and film, media studies, or gender & sexuality studies students to participate in our festival, including industry sessions and community-building opportunities, without financial barriers.

While registration is open to all, if we are unable to accommodate all industry accreditation requests, this initiative will prioritize equity-deserving 2SLGBTQIA+ filmmakers and programmers whose identities hold multiple intersections of marginalization. For example, 2SLGBTQIA+ people who are also BIPOC, disabled, or otherwise disadvantaged by systems of oppression.

In order to evaluate whether we are effectively reaching the communities we aim to serve, this form collects demographic information. Self-identification is optional.
