As parent educator(s) I (we) agree to uphold the requirements of Alderwood Academy, namely: * Teach 180 days or 900 hrs* per year (Kindergarten: Five hundred forty (540) net instructional hours. Grades 1-3: Seven hundred twenty (720) net instructional hours. Grades 4-12: Nine hundred (900) net instructional hours.) * Keep an attendance record of days/hours * Keep a report card, showing subjects taught, and grades earned in each subject. * Submit a copy of the report card to the Director at the end of each semester and a copy of the attendance record at the end of our school year. * Keep in our home a portfolio showing course information, a list of materials used, samples of student’s work and how work was evaluated. * Provide for annual testing, evaluation or portfolio review of our student and submit a copy of the results to the Director at the end of our school year. I (We) understand that Alderwood Academy is a private school whose purpose is to provide parents with the opportunity to instruct their children at home. I (We) understand that any advice given by the school, its officers or director is not guaranteed by the school. I (We) release Alderwood Academy from any liability; assume all responsibility for compliance with all requirements with regard to education in our state. I (We) understand Alderwood Academy is not liable for any neglect on the parent’s part. I (We) understand, if we withdraw from Alderwood Academy, our financial obligations must be met before our student’s records will be released. By enrolling my (our) child in Alderwood Academy, I (we) have accepted the responsibility and duty of teacher in our home school. I/We parent(s)/legal guardian(s) agree with the above statements.

other..Please explain. Homeschool students often take courses on several levels. High school level is usually determined by English class.
