Rugg's Home Renovations is a rapidly expanding Handyman & Remodeling Contractor in the Delaware County and surrounding areas, dedicated to delivering high-quality construction services. We have an immediate need for an enthusiastic and skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be a crucial contributor to our company's growth and will play an essential part in shaping our direction. As a Carpenter with Rugg's Home Renovations, you will utilize your expertise to perform various tasks, including layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Your ability to work efficiently and adapt to different job requirements is essential.
Qualifications
- Skilled Carpenter with experience in all aspects of the trade
- Proficient with basic power tools
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, demonstrating respect for colleagues
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience; knowledge of mathematics
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 2 years experience as a journey-level carpenter.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
- Openness to perform tasks as directed by your supervisor and a commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and products
- Reliable transportation w/ valid driver's license
- Effective communication skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
- High School Education or Equivalent (Preferred)
Scope of Work
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, becoming familiar with project scope, drawings, schedule, budget, etc.
- Perform carpentry, cleanup, repair and punch list items as needed
- Ensure quality standards are met. Assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
- Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
Employment Details:
- Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time with opportunity for career growth
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 or 10 hour shifts (with the possibility of overtime)
- Location: Springfield, PA (and surrounding areas)
- Compensation: $15-$35 an hour
