What is the PAT Contract Action Team (CAT)? 

The PAT CAT is the structure through which you organize educators at your worksite to win the best contract possible. The CAT works in tandem with the bargaining team, committee chairs and executive board to plan and lead the actions we must take to build power. The CAT meets regularly during contract negotiations and is open to any educator who wants to take action in order to win transformational contracts that improve the lives of Portland’s children, their families, and educators. This allows for the work of the union to not just fall on the shoulders of one or two building representatives in each building.  After all, the union is all of us, not just those of us in an office or the few brave members who serve as your representative.
