This guided book club will help families imagine, plan, and take action toward building a good life and a secure future for their loved one(s) with a developmental disability. Through monthly discussions, activities, and shared learning, participants will explore topics such as vision planning, friendships, housing, decision-making, financial planning, advocacy, and future security.
Participants are encouraged to read each chapter before the session, but you are always welcome to attend even if you haven’t finished the reading. Families do not need to attend every session to register for the series.
Whether you are just beginning to plan or revisiting plans for the future, this book club offers a place to start — and a community to learn alongside.
There is no cost to attend the Safe & Secure Book Club.
