The Alberta Game Series (AGS) will host its inaugural Pitch Competition on Septmber 12th, 2025 at the Edmonton Unlimited building in downtown Edmonton. This event is part of Edmonton Startup Week and will showcase Alberta-based game development studios building premium PC and console games.

Five finalists will be selected to deliver a 5-minute pitch, followed by 5 minutes of feedback from a panel of publishers, investors, and platform representatives. The winner will be announced live at the event and celebrated at the afterparty that evening. The winning team and runner up will be supported by our partner organizations to take their pitches forward and gain direct exposure to investors and publishers shortly after the competition.

Eligibility requirements:

- PC/Console premium indie game (one-time purchase model).

- Excludes mobile, VR, F2P, or educational titles.

- Studio must be actively seeking funding or partnership opportunities.

- Game launch must be at least 1 year from time of event.

- Finalists must attend in-person and commit to full coaching and pitch preparation.
