LHENA Board of Directors Candidate Application
Thank you for your interest in serving on your neighborhood board!

Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA) will be holding an election for 6 open board seats on April 17th at the association's annual meeting. If you are a resident, property owner, or business owner within the neighborhood, you are eligible to serve on LHENA's 11-seat board. (The neighborhood is bordered by Lyndale Ave., Lake St., and Hennepin Ave.)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Successful board members dedicate appx. 4-10 hours per month to service, actively contribute ideas and effort, and are dedicated to working to improve the Lowry Hill East (aka "the Wedge") neighborhood and this organization. Duties of the board include:

1. carrying out the mission of the association
2. attending monthly board meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm
3. actively serving on at least one committee
4. fulfilling the fiduciary responsibilities standard of serving on a non-profit board
5. Engage in fundraising efforts

HOW TO APPLY:
Candidates who are interested in applying must complete a candidate application form. This form may be completed online by April 10th, 2019. Candidate nominations will also be accepted at the Annual Meeting sign-in table; candidates who submit in advance will have their candidacy publicized on our website, social media, and at the annual meeting. Candidates are not required to attend the Annual Meeting, although it is highly encouraged. NEXT STEPS:
After completing this application, LHENA staff will connect with you. A headshot photo and proof of residency or property/business ownership in the neighborhood will be requested. Photos and your written answers to this application will be displayed on our website and at the annual meeting.
