K-12 Educator Interest in Boston Geochemistry Conference 2018
The Goldschmidt Conference, the premier international conference for geochemistry, will be held in August 2018 in Boston. Geochemistry is the intersection between chemistry and the earth & environmental sciences. Geochemistry research spans all earth & environmental science topics including climate change, natural resources, earth & solar system history, and many other topics now highlighted in the Next Generation Science Standards. The 2017 Goldschmidt Conference was held in Paris: https://goldschmidt.info/2017/index. Boston organizers would like to have a strand at the 2018 conference dedicated to K-12 Science Education and Outreach and are currently gauging educator interest and participation. The goal is to foster communication between K-12 educators and the geochemistry community to enhance and inspire content in K-12 earth & environmental science and chemistry.
