Philadelphia has a historic opportunity to renegotiate a 15-year franchise contract with Comcast that greatly expands communities' access to affordable internet, protects us as consumers, protects community media and Comcast workers, and makes Comcast pay its fair share to Philly by expanding technology education resources to our public schools.
Mayor Nutter and Comcast have sent a draft 15-year Comcast franchise to City Council - and they will be holding public hearings on what we as Philadelphians need from the next deal on November 12th! TIMES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
Tell us below if you are coming so we can get you everything you need to tell your story and fight for Comcast to be accountable to us as part of this historic franchise negotiation!
