Guidance for Volunteer Presenters (check all read)

Workshops will either be 50 or 90 minutes (you’ll be informed of the duration of your workshop in advance).

Student attendees will range in age from kindergarten to 12th grade (you’ll be informed of the grade level of your workshop in advance).

Be prepared to interact with the facilitator when called upon (if you remain throughout the workshop).

Introduce yourself by your work, not by your title.

Encourage student’s work throughout the workshop.

When engaging with the students individually, approach with a “designing with” attitude, like they’re your teammate vs. a student.

If staying throughout the entire workshop, develop a few talking points about: the students’ work using 'oreo cookie' approach to feedback.
