DPS Women in Planetary Science Discussion Hour 2017 - Provo, UT
Welcome!

This event is an informal meeting for all interested parties. This means you do not have to be a woman to support women in science or be interested in learning some professional development tips - for yourself, or to share with others :).

Dr. Sarah Thébaud (Sociology Professor at UC Santa Barbara) has graciously agreed to speak to us about her research on implicit bias. We will present some info but leave plenty of time for discussion. Also feel free to bring relevant announcements or send to Kelsi ahead of time.

A BIG Thanks!! to both AURA and the DPS commitee for sponsoring this event again this year!

**Registration Deadline is Sept. 29th** Although the deadline has passed, as of Sunday, 10-15-2017, we still have a few spots, so please still register below and you will be notified about your registration status :).

All are welcome but pre-registration is requested so we can place lunch orders (available for the first ~100 people who register) and balance the attendance size vs room size :).If you register and find you cannot attend let Kelsi (e-mail below) know and I will pass your lunch on to someone on the wait list.

Bring a guest!
Invite a friend or colleague who has never been to a WIPS lunch but might be interested to come with you. We are hoping this will make a wider crowd feel welcome attending. Most of the topics we discuss are of a general professional development nature, but of course we also have a focus on supporting female scientists. As always, you don’t have to be a female scientist to support female scientists :). (Please have them RSVP as well though, so we know to order them a lunch!) http://bit.ly/DPS_WIPS_2017
