#SaferTomorrow Pledge

The #SaferTomorrow Campaign is a Global Road Safety Initiative run by Applied Driving, to get drivers to pledge to help make the roads safer. By acknowledging the three core categories and statements below, you are helping to create a #SaferTomorrow.

By making your pledge, you are helping us make the roads safer for everyone, and will receive a digital #SaferTomorrow pledge badge. We encourage you to share your pledge across your social media channels during Road Safety Week with the hashtag #SaferTomorrow to inspire others to do the same.

1. Mindful Driving

Drivers pledge to prioritize their wellbeing and practice mindfulness before, during and after their journey. This involves being aware of their emotional and physical state before entering a vehicle and staying fully focused on the road. By committing to mindful driving, individuals take responsibility for ensuring they are prepared to drive safely, thus reducing the risk of incidents caused by distraction or emotional distress.

“I pledge to check in with my mental health before, and during driving, ensuring that I am calm, focused, and present on the road. By driving Mindfully, I contribute to creating a #SaferTomorrow.”

2. Safe and Responsible Driving

Drivers pledge their commitment to following local traffic laws, respecting speed limits, and avoiding at-risk behaviors such as distracted or impaired driving. Drivers pledge to be responsible and considerate, understanding that every action they take behind the wheel impacts not just their safety, but the safety of other road users.

“I pledge to obey local traffic laws, avoid distractions, and drive within the speed limit to protect myself and road users. My responsible driving today will help create a #SaferTomorrow."

3. Awareness & Advocacy 

Drivers pledge to actively promote road safety within their community during and beyond road safety week by educating others, sharing resources, and advocating for safer roads. By being an advocate for road safety, drivers help to spread the message that collective action is necessary to achieve a safer future.

“I pledge to advocate for road safety in my community, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to drive responsibly. Together, we can build a #SaferTomorrow for everyone.”
