Description:

We will start with the basics such as definitions of SEND and the SEND Code of Practice, going on to consider the national picture, sources of information and recent developments. You will be given the tools to evaluate your schools SEND provision and consider strategic leadership, accountability, structures and processes and people management.

Objective:
Every board is responsible for holding leaders to account for the education of learners with SEND.
This session aims to help boards to effectively deliver on this responsibility to ensure that all boards have a positive impact in their setting with regards to outcomes for learners with SEND.

Target Audience: SEND Governors and other School Governors with interests/responsibilities in SEND/inclusion.
