Ford Township is updating its Comprehensive Plan to reflect today’s needs and priorities. This plan will guide how our community grows and develops over the next 10–20 years. We need your input to ensure it reflects the vision and values of our residents and landowners. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share your ideas—your voice matters! "Land Use" – Encourage a mix of land uses that enhance quality of life while keeping services affordable.
"Natural Resources & Agriculture" – Protect sensitive areas, farmland, forests, and water resources.
"Economic Development" – Support controlled growth and diverse opportunities for jobs and businesses.
"Housing" – Ensure there are safe, affordable, and appropriate housing options for all ages and needs.
"Public Facilities & Infrastructure" – Maintain and improve roads, signage, and essential services without reducing quality of life.
"Heritage, Recreation & Quality of Life" – Keep Ford Township a quiet, safe, and welcoming place with respect for our history and opportunities to connect as neighbors.
The current comprehensive plan was developed in 2005–2008. Since then, rural communities have seen shifts in demographics, land use pressures, internet/broadband needs, and recreation demands that aren’t reflected in the old goals.
