Garrison Lecture on Environmental Law, featuring Professor Rebecca Bratspies, Visiting Professor of Environmental Law and Haub Visiting Scholar at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University for the spring 2024 semester. She is also a Professor at CUNY School of Law, where she is the founding director of the Center for Urban Environmental Reform. Prof. Bratspies is an
environmental justice and human rights law scholar
. She will be speaking on the topic "Mapping Injustice: Race, Place, and Environment in New York City."
The Garrison Lecture, one of the highlights of our academic year, celebrates the vision, public spirit and life of the attorneys whose legal acumen led citizens in their successful advocacy of environmental quality at Storm King Mountain, New York. Past Garrison Lectures have been delivered by notable academics, practitioners, scientists, and scholars. The lecture is delivered at the law school and is open to students and the public, including law school alumni, lawyers, scientists, and policymakers.
The event will be followed by a Reception. All in-person attendees for the Garrison Lecture are invited to attend this reception.
