Activity Transportation Guidelines
Murtaugh School District recognizes the importance of extra-curricular activities in the
academic, social and physical development of students. The district is committed to supporting
the development of these programs, but recognizes that funding restrictions mandate some
limitations on what transportation services the district is able to provide. To these ends, the
following procedures will be followed:
1. For all additional non-in-season competition activities (including: jamborees, camps,
summer activities, etc...) each organization/activity will have the option of using a
district bus for one date free of charge, limit 100 miles round-trip.
2. For additional trips, organizations/activities have the option of renting a bus from the
district at the rate of $1.00 per mile. The organization/activity is also responsible for
paying the driver fees.
3. The organization/activity is responsible for cleaning the bus upon return from the activity
or will be charged a $30 cleaning fee if the bus is not adequately clean upon return.
