Greece 2025 Oceans of Hope Challenge week 1

Introduction

Thank you for your interest in our Greece 2025 Oceans of Hope Challenge! We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to apply to join us for this adventurous and unique experience for people living with MS. The challenge will take place over two flotillas, each lasting one week. This application form is for week 1:  27th September to 4th October.

The cost of this event is:  Lefkas.

The location of this event is: £525

This is a yacht flotilla challenge where participants will stay onboard a yacht for the week. Please note, you will need to be able to climb a few steps (with support and rails) to access the boat and its interior. While you can bring a mobility aid to access the pontoon and onshore, using a wheelchair onboard the boat is not possible.

Unfortunately Greece is not very wheelchair friendly, so please think carefully if you need to use a wheelchair. We do have a fully wheelchair accessible weekend at Calvert lakes in August which may be more suitable for you.

As a full crew member, you will be actively involved in the daily running of the boat, including provisioning, cleaning, and cooking alongside fellow crew members. You will need to be open-minded and willing to share the boat and a cabin with others, who may not share your religious or political views. Life on the boat requires patience and generosity, and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for anti-social behaviour. For safety reasons, excessive alcohol consumption will not be permitted.

Our events are always in high demand, and as a result, we maintain a waiting list. Participants are selected based on the following criteria: the date your application is received, your volunteer status, a balanced mix of sailing experience, with the goal of having an equal number of veterans and participants, and priority is given to those who did not secure a spot in previous challenge events.

We look forward to receiving your application for this incredible challenge!
