Volunteer Information Session

Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services (HNWS) is a non-profit organization providing 24/7 crisis intervention, counselling, advocacy, support, and safe shelter for survivors of abuse and their children.

We are excited to relaunch our volunteer program and invite community members to learn how you can get involved.

What to Expect:

  • A tour of the shelter
  • Overview of 11 available volunteer roles
  • Information on the application and training process
  • Enjoy a light dinner and refreshments

General Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Must sign a confidentiality agreement
  • Former clients must wait at least 1 year from their last date of service before applying
