KSU Office of Community Engagement 2019 CE Fall Workshop Application: Community Engaged Research
The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) announces a special Fall semester program for faculty focused on Community Engaged Research. This half-day workshop is designed to enhance the capacity of Kennesaw State University faculty to engage with our community in meaningful ways through their teaching and scholarship.

This workshop, free and open to all members of the campus community, will focus on framing (conceptualizing, designing, implementing); publishing research; and documenting community-engaged scholarship (CES). Dr. Lorilee Sandmann, Editor of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement and Professor Emerita, University of Georgia will situate this research in the broader scholarly context; will cover how to develop different types of publishable manuscripts and find appropriate venues for publishing; and finally will overview how to document community-engaged scholarship for purposes of promotion and tenure decisions.

Individual Follow-up Consultations Available: Have a question, want feedback, or need support in designing, writing, or documenting your community-engaged scholarship? Dr. Sandmann will also provide individual consultation on CES research and scholarship (at any stage) for 15-minute time slots on Friday immediately following the workshop.
