Focused on the themes of Sustainable Business, Prevention of Digital Fraud and Ethics in AI Models for Business, Hackfest 2025 encourages participants to develop innovative, impactful solutions that align with industry needs.

3. Hackathon Flow

    1. Launch & Registrations Open
      March 3rd 2025
      Announcement of HackFest 2025, college invitations, and registration kickoff.
    2. College-Level Rounds
      March 17th – June 3rd 2025
      Internal hackathons at 200+ colleges, selection of top teams for the next stage.
    3. Hub-Level Competitions
      June 10th – July 25th 2025
      Regional hackathons across 18 hubs, mentorship sessions, and evaluations. 
    4.  Coaching and Mentorship 
    5. State Level Rounds July 25th - Aug 3rd 
    6. SAP Round Aug 3rd to - Aug 5th 
    7. Grand Finale – National Championship
      Aug 6th 2025
      Final hackathon event, live presentations, jury evaluations, and winner announcements.
Hackathon Theme & Problem Statements: Will be published on March 17th

Basic Rules of the Hackathon: 

Rule 1: Team can consist of 4 to 5 Participants (min and max)

Rule 2: No student should be a part of two teams 

Rule 3: Teams must be formed within your own college 

Rule 4: Prototype + Presentation needs to be showcased to the jury 

Rule 5: Only eligible teams from each college will be shortlisted for the next round 

Rule 6: Utilizing resources from the internet or any other source is permitted. However plagiarism is not. Showcase your own work. Plagiarism will lead to disqualification 

Rule 7: Hackathon Judging Criteria and presentation rules will be disclosed few days before the Hackathon begins

Rule 8: SAP's decision is final and binding

Additional Rules:

  • Participants should belong to B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc., BCA, M.E, M.Tech, MCA MBA or MSc and should be studying in any stream and any semester/year.
  • One team can register only one idea, duplicate/additional submission will be deleted
  • Participants need not belong to same Stream and Semester/Year
  • The teams should have registered to the SAP Learning Hub
  • During Regional Round, Only ideas will be evaluated, it is not mandatory to have a working prototype
  • Idea Pitch should be Slide based, Do not use paper based presentation
  • Each team will be given 10 mins of time to pitch and 5 mins for Q&A
  • The teams should have registered to the SAP Learning Hub - https://learning.sap.com/students

Code Related rules: 

The first 3 rounds will not need any coding knowledge. However, subsequent rounds will have some amount of basic coding requirements on SAP BTP and related technologies. There are training modules made available for participants. All work should be done during the Hackathon time frame. Your code repository must be initialized at the beginning of the Hackathon 

Teams cannot use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is against the spirit of the rules and is not allowed

Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules, the Code of Conduct, or other unsporting behavior. In case of discrepancies, the final take shall lie with the organizers. All the Prizes and the Prize categories are decided on the sole discretion of SAP and can be modified at any time under requisite circumstances. SAP is not liable to give any notice for the same.
