Connections 2019 Registration
Please complete the form below to register for Connections 2019. Connections 2019 will occur at the Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA from August 13-16, 2019.

While there is no registration fee for Connections 2019, we are collecting an optional not to exceed $100 food fee, in cash upon arrival at the conference, that will cover a dinner on Wednesday evening, and lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, as well as coffee, snacks, water, and soda throughout the conference. The icebreaker on Tuesday evening will be a no-host gathering at a nearby restaurant/brewery.

For participants coming from out of town, there is a reserved room block at the Comfort Suites in Carlisle, PA at a special rate. You can find directions on how to book a room on the conference website.

Please contact the Co-Chairs of the conference, Matt Caffrey ( or Tim Wilkie (, if your plans change after you register so that we can maintain an accurate count of who will be in attendance.

Connections has no registration fee. There will be another pay as you go (no host) game night icebreaker on Tuesday evening at a local venue.

Working Group *
On Thursday, the conference will divide in to three working groups. Participants in these working groups will collaborate to advance the art and science of wargaming in concrete ways. Wargaming the Future (This workshop will examine the question "How can we wargame the deep future -- out to 50 years?" motivated by the 50 year service life of our most expensive military platforms.) The Future of Wargaming (Where is gaming going in the future? In order to answer this question we will have speakers on new technologies and tools, plus a visualization exercise. From future technology to new gaming topics, in this session you will not only hear about the future, but help create it.) Wargaming for Strategic Leaders (will focus on building an understanding of how we can educate tomorrow's wargame planners, practitioners, and consumers).
