Laurel Community Challenge Categories
Choose the categories you are interested in entering, you may choose more then one, but the schedule of when groups will meet during the day will not be available till we are closer to the event. There is a possibility of a conflict when choosing multiple categories.
Embroidery: applique, counted, free, openwork, padded work, blackwork, couching, pleating/smocking, etc.
Fiber Arts: spinning, weaving, dying, narrow working, lace, sprang.
Costuming: clothing, accessories, hairdressing
Martial A&S: recreation/interpretation of historic martial techniques & research into the culture, history, and use of arms & weapons
Performing Arts: music, theater, poetry, dance
Science/Technology: math, astronomy, ships, siege engines, gardening, agronomy, animal husbandry, forestry
Culture/History: history, religion, heraldry, games, language, courtesan arts
Paper Arts: calligraphy, illumination, pigments, paper/parchment making, printing, bookbinding
Studio Arts: ceramics, glass, metal, wood, leather, armor & weapon construction
Food/Drink/Herbalism: cooking, baking, brewing (non-alcoholic only), confections, cosmetics
