Application for Instrumental Lessons 2023/24
Music Lessons at Norwood

Instrumental lessons are available at Norwood in addition to all the free clubs and ensembles that we run in the department.

These lessons take place during the school day - students are required to leave their curriculum lessons to attend them - they operate on a carousel basis so students do not miss the same lesson multiple weeks in a row.

Please be aware that all students wanting to receive instrumental lessons will be required to pay for lessons each term. This includes Bursary students and students in Y10 and Y11. Payment will be required termly in via ParentPay.

Students receiving Free School Meals, and children who qualify for Pupil Premium (children who have qualified for Free School Meals anytime in the last 6 years) will not need to pay for their lessons. We also have a limited hardship fund which can support with lesson costs, please apply for this by emailing the Head of Music francis.j@thenorwoodschool.org

Students can take more than one instrumental lesson, but all students are expected to catch up with any class work they miss due to attending music lessons.

Please complete this Google form by Wednesday 13th September to confirm that you are interested in your child receiving lessons this year. We have made lessons available at 4 different price points to ensure that as many students as possible can access lessons.

You will then be notified when there are places available - for popular instruments (Drums / Guitars / Piano) there can be a significant waiting list so please be patient.
