We are delighted that would like to participate in our Fall 2024
Solutionary Micro-credential course for educators in Hawai'i! This course is especially well suited for teachers concerned with social justice issues. Participants will learn about how to use the Solutionary Framework to design a solutionary inquiry-to-action project that they will facilitate with students in the spring of 2025.
The cohort is limited to 20.
The course requires participants to attend and participate in six 1-hour zoom meetings and complete a total of approximately 30 hours of independent work (two to three hours each week) including the reading of the book (see below). The Zoom meetings will be on Tuesdays at 4pm Hawai'i Standard Time on September 17, October 1, 15, and 29, and November 12 and 26 . NOTE: If you already know that you cannot make at least four out of the six sessions, please do not complete this application form. We invite you to apply again for a class offered at another time.
This course is co-sponsored and the cost is being underwritten by the Institute for Humane Education and What School Could Be. There is no cost to you to take the course EXCEPT for the cost to acquire the book: The World Becomes What We Teach by Zoe Weil. You can access the book in paper, electronic or audio format.
