Enabling Social Action - Capturing Volunteering in York
The Universities of Sheffield and Hull are working in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on Phase 2 of the Enabling Social Action programme. As part of this programme of research, we aim to support commissioners to deliver public services differently through Enabling Social Action Partnerships (ESAPs). York was selected as one of the initial ESAPs. During the first workshop with York partners, a need to understand the extent of volunteering was discussed. This survey draws from this initial discussion to capture the existing picture of volunteering in York and aims to facilitate the development of baseline city-wide data collection on volunteering.
We are seeking your approval to share information with respect to volunteering. Individual responses will not be directly attributable but will be utilised to create a broad database of the extent and types of volunteering data captured across the different programs and activities in York. We would also like to be able to access some of the data identified, in order to capture an initial overview of the state of volunteering within York. By clicking 'YES', you agree to participate in this research process and to the sharing of the information across the People Helping People teams. If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact us. You have the right to withdraw from participation in the research process at any point and any data collected from you up to that point will not be used.
