2026 Sousapalooza Sign-up
You're invited to join fellow musicians for Grand Rapids’ first-ever Sousapalooza! 

As part of Make Music Day on June 21, this annual event brings together wind, brass, and percussion players of all ages and experience levels for a fun, informal sight-reading session of the music of John Philip Sousa. Come celebrate "The March King" and America’s 250th birthday with a community of friends and strangers making music together! 

Participants should arrive by 3:30pm. Following a brief warm-up and organizational rehearsal, the program will begin at 4pm. Family members and friends are encouraged to attend; please instruct them to bring their own chairs/blankets. 
 
Participants will need to bring:
  • instrument
  • music stand
  • printed music (with clips to secure music)
