Mission:

PURA provides a direct outlet of support for under-resourced applicants to the Park Scholarships program. Park Scholars have created a community that seeks to aid applicants during the admissions process in order to develop their applications. The program invites under-resourced applicants to interact with the community and grow alongside Park Scholars.

PURA Overview:
1) PURA is designed to work with under-resourced applicants. Under-resourced students are defined to include applicants who are first-generation, are from low-income backgrounds, attend overpopulated schools, are from rural areas or who are from other socio-economically disadvantaged areas.
2) This program is built to provide constructive feedback to enhance how applicants share their stories and life experiences, but does not assist in writing applicant essays.
3) Participation in PURA does not guarantee applicants will advance through the Park Scholarships selection process or receive admission to the university.
