NJ State Gleaning Week is designated specifically to raise awareness about gleaning as a means to fight hunger and reduce food waste. Join the team at Strawberry Hill Farm (3 Waln Road, Chesterfield NJ) from 10am-12pm to glean apples!

Philly Family Fun Day: 9/23
Volunteer at this fun family event to benefit Our Lady of Angels Regional Catholic School, which burned down this summer. Volunteers are needed on Sunday, September 23 from 12noon until 6pm. The fundraiser will take place at the Briarcliff Fieldhouse (110 N Bartram Ave, Glenolden, PA 19036)

Ministry of Caring International Night: 9/23, 10/28, 11/25, 12/23
International Night is a once-a-month fundraiser that benefits the Emmanuel Dining Room. We are always in need of servers for this event. The time commitment would be the fourth Sunday of every month (Jan-Sept), from 4:30 PM -7:30 PM. An individual or a group up to 10 may volunteer at a time.

Stockings for Soldiers: 10/8, 10/9, 10/10, 10/11
Individuals and groups smaller than 6 people can show up to volunteer, no need to register in advance. Located at the Plaza III Shopping Center - 1851 Marsh Road, just north of Silverside Road, North Wilmington, Delaware. Over the Fall, we will be personalizing each stocking with the recipient's name, collecting the needed goodies and sorting all the donations. Starting in mid-November, we will be stuffing the stockings with goodies, boxing them and shipping them to troops in the remotest regions of the world.

Girls on the Run
Coach for Girls on the Run and inspire girls to reach their limitless potential! Girls on the Run is a nonprofit, positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grades that uses the power of running to encourage girls to make healthy life decisions, physically, emotionally, and socially. Co-facilitate afternoon practices twice per week at a local elementary or middle school from February to May. The 10-week season concludes with a celebratory 5k!

Let's Get Ready College Access Coach
As a College Access Coach, you are on the frontlines of educational equity as a tutor, role model, and mentor. Volunteer as an SAT coach to a small group of high school students in your community and guide them as they begin the college application process. College Access Coaches can specialize in either the math or verbal sections of the SAT.

Pennsylvania Immigration Citizens Coalition: Every Monday and Friday
Every week, the lives of hundreds of families are changed by becoming US Citizens. PICC believes that voting is one of the foundations of being an engaged citizen, so we attend every ceremony in Philadelphia to register new citizens to vote.

These ceremonies happen year-round, so we always need new volunteers. Volunteer shifts are available every week. You can sign up online for the days and times that work best for you!

Project HOME: Weekdays
Volunteers help to further Project HOME's mission to end homelessness and alleviate poverty in Philadelphia. We are always looking for people who are willing and able to invest their time in supporting our community and improving the lives of those we serve.

Ronald McDonald House
The caring and cheerful volunteers of the Ronald McDonald House are the first voices families hear on the telephone and the first smiling faces they see at the door. Whether it’s planning and coordinating an evening family activity, supplying and cooking a meal for the families through our Guest Chef Program, being a part of our spring cleaning crew, or committing to a weekly shift, our volunteers make this House a home.

Volunteers staff the House from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. We have three different shifts: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., 1 p.m.-6 p.m., and 6 p.m.-9 p.m. (at least six people volunteer on each shift.)
