Ready to rock? This four-weekend series is designed for girls and gender-expansive youth ages 10–17 who want to explore music in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment—no experience needed!
Each Saturday session runs in the Oh Yeah Music Centre Belfast from 12 PM to 3 PM (PLEASE NOTE: Session 2 on Nov 15th will be 12pm - 2pm) and offers a chance to try out instruments, write songs, jam with others, and an opportunity to perform!
-
Session 1: Try an Instrument (Nov 8) – Get hands-on with guitar, bass, drums, and vocals in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting.
-
Session 2: Songwriting & Lyric Workshop (Nov 15, *12pm - 2pm) – Learn the basics of song structure and work together to write original lyrics and melodies.
-
Session 3: Jam Session (Nov 22) – Collaborate with other campers, practice playing as a group, and maybe even learn a cover song or two!
-
Session 4: Open Mic & T-Shirt Printing (Nov 29) – Perform your work in a low-pressure open mic and design your own band tee to take home!
Whether you’re just starting out or already love music, this series is a great place to build confidence, creativity, and community with Girls Rock School NI.
Places will be limited for this project so it is advised to sign up soon!
