2017 Competition Registration - World Latin Dance Cup Qualifier
Register to compete in the World Latin Dance Cup Qualifier competition at the International Saskatchewan Salsa and Bachata Congress.

The deadline to register is April 30 2017 - THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS to this deadline.

Once this form is submitted, you will be contacted by the registration coordinator to confirm your information and provide instructions for payment. Payment may be made online using PayPal or by cheque.
Fees are as Follows:
$25 (+ SC & GST) Competition Registration fee per person.
$100 (+SC & GST) for teams competing that are made up of three (3) members or more (up tp 20 dancers)
Individual dancers may not register or pay separately.
The Competition Registration fee is only valid for entry to the competition and does not grant entry to any other Festival events. All competitors must also purchase a valid Dance Team Performer pass ($95 +SC & GST) in addition to paying their competition registration fee.

Time limit for performances:
Solo/Couple: 2 minutes
Teams: 3 minutes

You must provide a copy of your music in a "thumb drive" (aka memory stick), in a clearly labelled envelope or ziplock bag with your team's name, dance company, name of song, artist name, name of record company, author of song and length of track. Some of this information is required for SOCAN purposes.
Ipods, Ipads, phones or computers with music will not be accepted.

All Instructors in Pro-Am Division are allowed to dance with up to five students per division as long as the Music and Choreography is not the same. All Students are eligible to dance in as many pro-am divisions that they qualify for.

SPECIAL DANCE DIVISION - LIMITLESS
Definitions
AMATEUR: This category applies to any individual that enjoys any form of dance as a 'hobby' and does not earn a living or work part time in the dance industry. You cannot be classed as an Amateur if you have been paid for performing or teaching in the past but now have chosen to treat dancing just as a hobby. Also, cannot be an amateur and dance in a pro team. Non-Acrobatic.

PROFESSIONAL: An individual who is receiving or has received financial compensation for teaching or performing.

PRO – AM: Judges will focus on the amateur student not on the pro. The competition will be done in an open floor format by heats (lead and follow) and then by a showcase (Chore Routine).

TEAMS: A combination of dancers male or female with a minimum of 3 members or maximum of 20 members participating in the same routine.

SAME GENDER: Ladies or men of the same gender participating in the same routine. The teams must have a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 20 dancers of the same gender.

OVER 75: The competitors must have a combined age of over 75 years old and be amateurs. Non-Acrobatic.

CHILDREN: Dancers will be 3-11 years old and is open for all levels. You are required to provide details of proof of age i.e. Birth cert, ID card etc.If you are under 16 yrs old, please provide written consent from parents allowing you to enter the Championships

JUNIORS: Dancers will be 12-17 years old and is open for all levels unless the dancers is an amateur. You are required to provide details of proof of age i.e. Birth certificate, ID card etc. If you are under 16 yrs old, please provide written consent from parents allowing you to enter the Championships.
