EVENT DESCRIPTION:
In February 2008 our Freedom of Information platform WhatDoTheyKnow.com was born.

The site makes it super easy to ask for information from over 20,000 UK public authorities, publishing all responses to create an online archive of public knowledge.

10 years on, the site is the biggest online archive of Freedom of Information requests in the UK, and has over 6 million visits a year.

With 119,218 users and over 447,000 requests, the site has helped millions of people to get the information they need to understand the workings of public authorities, and to hold them to account.

We've also just launched WhatDoTheyKnowPro, a new powerful toolkit which provides extra functionality for journalists and other people who use FOI in their jobs.

What better reasons to celebrate!

Join us for an evening of drinks, nibbles and presentations to reflect on the last 10 years, and to look forward to what the future holds for WhatDoTheyKnow.
