Book, Now! Weekly Writing Sessions in LA
Want a structured, welcoming environment to boost your writing practice? Have a writing project you'd like to make progress on? Ready to generate new drafts, make new connections, and receive the creative support you deserve?

We're an ongoing weekly workshop for creative writers who need accountability to write their book, now! Poets, fiction, and creative-nonfiction writers (and cross-genre dabblers) of all levels are welcome. We know--you’re busy, you’re (secretly?) a writer, and now, you don’t have to go it alone.

Participants come ready to write and open to exploring their writing through:
-Out of the box prompts, exercises, and timed writing
-Writers will have an opportunity to share some of their new works in progress and to support their peers’ work
-Activities and suggestions will always incorporate play, encouragement, exploration, constraints, and structure
-We utilize bold written works of women in poetry, memoir, and fiction for growth and inspiration
-Sessions each month will be curated to the needs and interests of month-long registrants

Sessions are led by Molly Thornton, Seattle to LA multi-genre writer and teacher specializing in creative writing coaching, developmental editing, and manuscript consultation for aspiring writers driven to bring their first projects into being.
Molly has led writing workshops and community events from Beyond Baroque in Venice to Hugo House in Seattle.

She's a Lambda Literary Fellow, a graduate of the Artist Trust LitEDGE program, and her poetry, essays, and fiction appear in publications including The Lavender Review, The Seattle Globalist, and They Said anthology from Black Lawrence Press. She delivers guidance through effective structure and accountability that never limits your imagination.
