2021 DMV Perinatal Mental Health Symposium Speaker Call for Proposals: Trauma and Healing
The District, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) Symposium was first hosted in 2019 by a group of perinatal mental health champions from various disciplines. The goal of the Symposium is to bring together a multi-disciplinary group to learn together, share ideas, and increase our ability to better serve individuals during the perinatal period. We also encourage attendance of people who have perinatal mental health lived experience or a loved one with lived experience during this period. You are the true experts and enrich and inform the work of all providers.

The theme of this year's PMH Symposium is “Trauma and Healing”. We want to increase awareness of the trauma experienced by people during the perinatal period and the unique and innovative prevention and treatment efforts occuring in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.

The event will occur virtually on Monday, November 8, 2021.

We encourage both seasoned and first-time presenters to submit proposals. We hope to attract a diverse lineup of speakers from different disciplines and perspectives. If you have an idea for a session that is not reflected in the application below, please contact us! We want to hear from you and incorporate innovative ideas in a variety of formats.

Please complete this form to the best of your ability and we will contact you if you have been selected to serve as a speaker. If you are selected, you will be required to submit additional information such as a bibliography for your presentation and a conflict of interest disclosure form. A small honorarium will be provided for your time spent presenting.
