The CSRC Tutor/Mentor program is an annual program that gives UC Davis students the opportunity to be paired with & tutor a student at the Davis School for Independent Study (DSIS) until June 2019.
DSIS is a local, public, K-12 school, and all tutoring occurs in the DSIS Library. Tutors must be understanding, patient, outgoing, and willing to commit 1-2 hours a week of tutoring until June. As the tutees become more familiar with the tutors, they might begin to view their tutor as a role model. This is why the program has been titled the “Tutor/Mentor” program! In some situations, tutors are able to offer appropriate advice and guidance.
If you wish to be involved, submit an application below. Applications are read and applicants will be contacted via email as needed.
If you have any questions please contact Bianca Mogannam or Juliana Mak at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Program: The Davis School for Independent Study (DSIS) needs one on one tutors for their students. Tutors would be partnered with a student based on their subject interests and they would work with that one student for the entire academic year.
Date/Time: Varies (The tutor and DSIS student would agree upon times that work for both parties for tutoring to take place. Usually 1-3 hours per week.)
