If you are looking for a more-accessible format of James by Percival Everett there are a few options for obtaining audiobook and e-book copies of the 2025-2026 Go Big Read:
  • There are audiobook and e-book editions of the James available through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries and Madison Public Libraries, as well as through libraries that serve communities with disabilities in Wisconsin and the United States.
  • If you are an instructor at UW-Madison who would like an e-book copy of James to review in summer 2025, please email bwillig@wisc.edu with your request.
  • If you are a UW-Madison student looking for an alternative format copy, please contact the McBurney Disability Center. If you are UW-Madison faculty, staff, or another party who is not serviced by the McBurney Disability Center, please email Todd Michelson-Ambelang with your request at accommodation-request@library.wisc.edu. Please remember not to share your disability or medical information in your message. We are able to share individual e-book and audiobook copies of the Go Big Read on a case-by-case basis for those with accommodation needs. If you have any questions, feel free to email gobigread@library.wisc.edu or bwillig@wisc.edu
