The SAEM Annual Meeting is generally run by volunteer members who speak, present, and teach. As is common across all medical societies, there is a registration fee for attendees to ensure a professionally produced meeting. While unique, from time-to-time, a potential speaker, who does not qualify for SAEM membership, may add significant value to the unique learning experience of our membership when added to a didactic session or meeting. The SAEM Executive Committee will consider requests for a one-day annual meeting registration pass for these special exceptions.
Examples of approved individuals from past meetings include: patients, K-12 teachers, local community leaders, and formerly incarcerated individuals. Requests that are typically not approved are executive professionals who are generally able to pay to participate in the SAEM annual meeting, such as: lawyers, finance experts, and other college/university level faculty. To request a complimentary one-day SAEM annual meeting registration as a special exception, please complete the below form.
