Individual Membership Ambassador: If you possess a friendly and welcoming demeanor, coupled with excellent database management skills, this role is tailor-made for you! As an Individual Membership Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to recruit new members, extend a warm welcome to them, and efficiently track their engagement within our organization. By being the friendly face of WLF, you'll ensure that our individual members feel valued and connected.

Director of Fun and First Impressions: We want all of our members to feel welcomed and valued. As the friendly voice of WLF, you'll personally connect with new members and guests after their first event, gathering their feedback to help us continually improve. With your dedication to creating a vibrant and inclusive community, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping positive experiences, fostering connections, and inspiring meaningful change. Business Membership Advocate: Are you passionate about supporting and engaging with our business members? Join us in serving our vibrant business community by taking on this exciting role. Your hands-on approach will involve closely interacting with our business members, tracking and managing their benefits, and ensuring their representation at all our events. By championing their interests, you'll strengthen their connection to WLF and enhance their overall membership experience.

The Programs Committee is the heartbeat of WLF, driving engaging and enriching experiences for our members. There are several key roles within this committee where you can make a significant impact:

Events Enthusiast: Are you passionate about creating memorable events? Join us in orchestrating our monthly "Let's Interact" events, where we foster connections and facilitate knowledge sharing among our community. As an Events Enthusiast, you'll assist with event setup and breakdown, coordinate with speakers to ensure their needs are met, and help create an environment where our members can fully immerse themselves in valuable content.

Check-In Coordinator: If you possess a keen eye for detail and enjoy meeting new people, become a crucial part of our team as a Check-In Coordinator. Arriving early, you'll take charge of the check-in process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for attendees. Your quick thinking and attention to detail will help create a positive first impression and set the stage for an exceptional event.

Greeter: Are you a natural people person who loves striking up conversations? Join us as a Greeter and make our members and guests feel welcome right from the moment they arrive. Every first Thursday of the month from 5 - 6 p.m., you'll have the opportunity to engage in warm and friendly interactions, fostering a sense of community and setting the tone for an enjoyable "Let's Interact" event.

Member-Only Event Support: If you prefer a more focused commitment, consider assisting us at our quarterly member-only events. As a registration and greeter volunteer, you'll play a vital role in creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere where members can forge meaningful connections and build lasting relationships. These events provide a unique opportunity to strengthen our community bonds.

Fundraising is a vital pillar of support that enables us to make a lasting impact, and we need your expertise to take it to new heights. Join our dynamic Development committee and make a significant difference in these exciting roles:

Sponsorship Lead: Are you a skilled communicator with a talent for securing support and funding for meaningful causes? Step up and lead our sponsorship efforts! By harnessing your persuasive abilities, you'll help us expand our network of sponsors and expose our initiatives to a wider audience, allowing more individuals to benefit from getting involved with WLF.

Sponsorship Tracking Coordinator: If you possess meticulous organizational skills and thrive in ensuring the seamless fulfillment of sponsorships, this role is tailor-made for you. As the point of contact for our sponsors, you'll be responsible for guaranteeing that every commitment we make to our sponsors is met promptly and effectively. By maintaining a strong relationship with our sponsors, you'll help foster long-term partnerships built on trust and reliability.

Grant Writing Specialist: Do you excel at crafting compelling grant proposals? We need your talent to identify and secure numerous grant opportunities in and around the Coachella Valley. Your skillful writing will help us access additional resources to support our mission, allowing us to make an even greater impact in our community.

Location/Food Subcommittee: Do you have a knack for hosting events from choosing the location to planning the details? Help us scout centralized locations to hold our monthly live student workshops and coordinate the event.

Scholarship: Are you someone who enjoys planning, coordinating and detailing progress? You would be an ideal person to help us partner with One Future to coordinate and facilitate student application process from submission to final award.

Guidance Counselor Liaison/Student Recruitment: Do you have a passion for helping students grow? This committee connects with guidance counselors at each campus to identify and refer potential student members for the program.

Alumni Chair: Do you love building relationships? Members of this committee will reach out and connect with past scholarship participants for engagement monthly workshops, serve as panelists, etc.

Community Involvement/Resources: Do you enjoy connecting with business leaders in the community? The YWL committee needs volunteers like you to help us connect and coordinate with local community resources and leaders for participation in monthly workshops, serve as panelist and guest speakers, and host live workshop events.

Marketing: Is creativity and social media your wheelhouse? We could use your help to create flyers, weekly FB posts for WLF and YWL pages, coordinate additions to monthly WLF newsletter and other related promotional materials. 

Help us create memorable and impactful programming for our young women leaders.  

Mentor One program favorite of the workshop attendees has been the mentor connections. Our monthly workshops have a theme, so you can choose which event to participate in based on your background and area of expertise. You can choose to participate in a brief 15-minute zoom or phone interview with a student or offer a more involved in-person job shadowing opportunity.

Guest Panelist/Speaker roles offer opportunities to participate with a minimal time commitment.  We are seeking women leaders to give a 5-minute inspiring welcome introduction at the beginning of each monthly workshop. Guest panelists will be showcased on a career panel that may range from 30-45 minutes.

Workshop Support Volunteers are needed to help with room set up (11:30 morning shift) and break down (4:00 afternoon shift), pick up snacks, assist with greeting and signing-in students and guests. 

Session Presenter interested in leading a seminar or topic you would like to present; please indicate workshop subject and a brief outline.

Photographer needed to capture candid workshop moments; take headshots of students in December for LinkedIn profiles.

Supply Sponsor: Notebooks and pens (45 of each)

Snack Sponsor: $50 donation to provide snacks to the students each session.  We need 6 snack sponsors or one really generous one.  

The Communications Committee is at the forefront of amplifying WLF's message and engaging our community. We are seeking talented individuals who can contribute their skills in the following areas:

Digital Marketing: If you have a flair for digital marketing, we need your expertise! Join us in enhancing our online presence by assisting with our website, social media channels, directory, and eNewsletter. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in effectively communicating WLF's mission, events, and initiatives to our members and the wider audience.

Content Creator: Are you a skilled writer with a way with words? We invite you to lend your talent to our Content committee. Help us create compelling copy for various communications or use your editing skills to refine existing content. Your words will inspire and inform our audience, ensuring that our messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned with our organization's values.

Design Dynamo: If you have a passion for design and an eye for aesthetics, you can make a significant impact as part of our design team. Help us create visually stunning and attention-grabbing graphics for both print and digital communications. Your creative touch will bring our messages to life and captivate our audience, making a lasting impression.
