A Story of Hope is a short documentary project created by Locarbon via ‘akarprojek’ platform. The motive is to develop local content on climate change issues and to visualise how climate change impacting people. This video focus on B40 group - paddy farmers and fishermen in Kuala Kedah, Malaysia.
A true story about Che Yon, a paddy farmer from Kuala Kedah and Shahril, a coastal fisherman living in the same area. We learn about their life, their earning for living and how climate change impacting them.
This story and the sharing session will be presented by Zafuan Kassim who is the founder of Locarbon - an environmental driven social enterprise. Zafuan is an engineer by profession and currently practise as an energy consultant. Concurrently, he also work with United Nation Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as a National Expert for national project on energy efficiency and solar thermal application.
Passionately curious about climate change led Zafuan conducted several public awareness sharing sessions on climate change issues and action since 2017.
