Thank you for your interest in joining a Castilleja Alum Board Committee! Being a committee member in any capacity is a great way to give back to the school meaningfully and allows you to meet and connect with fellow Casti alums from a range of class years.
The Castilleja Alumnae Board's (CAB) mission is to create and amplify a meaningful, mutually- beneficial relationship between alums and Castilleja that:
- Provides each alum a way to connect and serve through dynamic events and programs
- Optimizes support for Castilleja through giving and leadership
- Reflects the unique bonds within the Castilleja community beyond graduation
Board Member Commitment- All CAB members will serve 2 two-year terms when beginning their service.
- CAB members can be located anywhere in the world.
- The Board meets every few months during the school year (August - June), and meetings may be in person or via Zoom/phone.
- No more than one CAB meeting a year can be missed unless under extenuating circumstances, and notice should be given.
- Each CAB member is a chair of a Board committee.
- The expected amount of time dedicated to Board meetings, committee work, thank you cards, etc. in a month is 2 hours a month for 10-11 months - time spent each month varies.
In addition to fulfilling committee chairmanship duties and attending CAB meetings, members of the CAB are expected to:
- Support Castilleja by giving a gift that is meaningful to them to the Annual Fund or View360 each year
- Participate in CAB group donor email appeals and writing thank you cards at least once a year
- Support Castilleja with participation in virtual and in-person events
- Be a champion of Castilleja in your community
Committee Member Commitment
Alternatively, one can serve on a particular Board committee as a volunteer.
- Committee members serve 1 year terms and can repeat service as long as mutually desired.
- Committees meet regularly (August - June) depending on the purpose and meetings may be in person or via Zoom/phone.
- Committees are chaired by a CAB member who schedules the meeting dates and times.
- Members can be located anywhere in the world.
- The expected amount of time dedicated to committee meetings in a month is 1 hour a month for 10-11 months - time spent each month varies.
In addition to fulfilling volunteer duties and attending committee meetings, volunteers are expected to:
- Support Castilleja by giving a gift to the Annual Fund or View360 each year
Applications will be reviewed as soon as received. Alumnae Board members are typically recruited in the Spring for a Fall start. Volunteers can join at any point in the year.
