When it comes to ocean and coastal conservation, we’re all in this together. We applaud you for grinding every day in service to our ocean, coast, and the people and creatures who depend on it. Meanwhile, at the Seymour Center, we’re doing our best to create a space where our community can deeply connect with the science and conservation happening right here at home. In many cases, that means connecting with you.
We know that you have powerhouse teams who put on stellar events. We also know that, sometimes, it’s hard to find good venues at a reasonable price in this town.
If you have a public community event that you’re planning, we invite you to apply to host it at the Seymour Center for free.
We’ll make our selections based on a few simple criteria:
Do we have the date available?
Is your event open to the public?
Quality of the experience you’re providing
Does the event advance any of the following missions?
Ocean, coastal, or wildlife conservation
Climate change mitigation or adaptation
Environmental justice or equitable access to outdoors spaces
Weekend dates in summer and fall are less likely to be approved as it's our busiest time of year for private event rentals.
Finally, we won’t move forward with any pure fundraisers like galas or auctions. You can most certainly include a call for support at your event, as long as it’s an element of a larger experience.
