Come and learn about a collaborative shared leadership process that creates safe and caring environments where students and adults can thrive!

Date: TUESDAY, July 24, 2018
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. (Check-in 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.)
Place: Ho'okele Elementary School

Lunch Cost: $10.00
Lunch order paid in cash the morning of the event.  If you order lunch, you will be responsible for the cost of the meal.  If your plans change and you do not attend, please let us know by July 13th so we can change the lunch order and you will not be charged.

Come and learn some active engagement strategies integrated into your curriculum and add it to your bag of TRIBES resources! Let’s make learning fun!

B Collaborative Shared Leadership
Shared leadership can transform schools into authentic learning communities to ready today’s youth for success. In this session, participants will learn how to utilize the TRIBES trail to cultivate leadership throughout the school community.

C Honoring Student Voice
In this session, participants will learn how teachers and students can work together to create student-designed classrooms where TRIBES strategies are used in design thinking collaboratives and the creation of authentic student learning products.

D Building and Deepening Relationships
Caring and respectful relationships are the foundation for meaningful learning communities. In this session, participants will learn how to use TRIBES to develop and enhance relationships among members of the classroom community.

E Intensifying Reflective Practice
Participants will learn why reflection is critical for deeper learning and how to intentionally build in reflection to promote rigor, relevance, and relationships.

F Setting Up a TRIBES Classroom
In this session, participants will learn how to use the Tribes Trail to build inclusion, influence, and community. In Tribes classrooms, students achieve at high levels because they feel included and appreciated by peers and teachers. They are respected for their different abilities, cultures, genders, interests, and dreams. They are actively involved in their own learning. They have positive expectations from others that they will succeed.

G TRIBES and Technology
Students are Digital Natives...attend this session to learn ways to infuse technology into the TRIBES process.
