We welcome anyone who identifies as a woman in a way that’s significant to them. Open to ages 8+
On April 28 from 9am - 11:30 join VINES in constructing 20 community garden beds which will allow local neighbors to grow their own food and build community. At this work day we will be filling raised garden beds with soil and compost, and begin staining lumber for our fencing.
On May 1 from 4-6pm join VINES in constructing a deer proof fence on site. They call it "Deerfield Place" for a reason! Which is why we need to build a "double fence" at Deerfield Place Community Garden. Learn about a great and affordable fence design.
No experience is necessary to attend either workday, VINES will have various stations to teach you with skills to take home, all while building VINES' 15th Community Garden.
Please sign up for our volunteer shift below. Please submit one form per person. If you are a group of 6 or more people, do not use this sign up form and instead contact Community Garden Manager, Kaitlyn Sirna at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 607-205-8108.
