The Human Library® is a collection of people sharing their unique and myriad stories with you, the Reader, as a community building tool in our pluralistic society. Instead of books, actual people are on loan for meaningful conversations that are authentic and eye-opening. While we can't walk in another's footsteps, we can grow our understanding of the human condition by listening to those around us with different lived experiences, including realities imbued with untold tests and difficulties -- trauma, homelessness and poverty, prejudice, discrimination, addiction and illness against which the curation of capacity and resilience is simply remarkable. Challenge what you think you know through the Human Library's safe space for dialogue, growth, and enhanced understanding, and make the world a better place for your efforts.
