The Medicine 2.0 congress is sponsoring a Student Volunteer Program whereby a limited number of students may receive waived registration for the Medicine 2.0 Congress (this does not include travel, hotel or meals) in exchange for serving as a photographer, coordinator, support person or staff member at the registration desk and presentation sessions, and/or with helping with setup. The program is also open to non-students with special talents.
THE PROGRAM IS _NOT_ OPEN FOR _PRESENTERS_ OR PARTICIPANTS WHO ALREADY REGISTERED.
The Medicine 2.0 congress will be held at the Mermaid conference center in London, Mon-Tue, Sept 23-24th, 2013.
The registration desk will open on Sunday pm, September 22nd, 2013, and much of the work like bag-stuffing will be done on Sunday.
Responsibilities will include:
Helping with bag stuffing (Sunday)
Helping at the registration desk
Technical assistance for speaker presentations
Assisting with audio visual needs.
Other fun, yet to be determined, activities
In order to qualify for participation in the program, each student volunteer must agree to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours during the conference. It is imperative that each volunteer remain in their designated time slot for the duration of the session.

A valid credit card may have to be supplied to hold your volunteer position, and if you are not from London we may ask for evidence that you made travel arrangements (hotel reservation, plane ticket). Should you not fufill your commitment, you will be charged the regular student fee ($450). The Student Volunteer Coordinator will notify you before any action is taken.
Special note: while every attempt will be made to accommodate your choices of sessions, we cannot guarantee it. The Student Volunteer Coordinator will contact volunteers 4 weeks before the conference to finalize arrangements.
