Where: Stephanie Metz Studio, The Alameda Artworks, 1068 The Alameda, San Jose, CA 95126

More details:
No experience is required; please note this activity will involve repetitive arm motion and poking soft sculpture with sharp needles. I'll provide tools, ongoing guidance, and some snacks and drinks.

My studio is located in downtown San Jose, California at 1068 The Alameda (look for the bright green door off the parking lot behind Recycle Bookstore); there is parking at the studio and in the surrounding neighborhood, and it's only a few short blocks away from the Diridon Caltrain/Lightrail station near SAP Pavilion.

Are kids welcome? It depends: as mentioned above, this process involves sharp tools, and even adults occasionally poke themselves. A general age guideline would be 10, but maturity and dexterity vary with the individual. Additionally, while meant to be fun, I also need helpers to make progress on the project. So parents can decide if they'd like to try it with their child, and we can check in with each other as we go on.

Thank you for your interest in helping me! You may email me at stephaniegmetz@gmail.com with any questions. I'll be following up with you via email to confirm as the dates approach.

My best,

Stephanie
