Registration, Permission and Emergency Information 

Welcome to youth group activities at AdventELC! We are SUPER happy you are here and want to ensure that we have an AMAZING time serving, worshipping, traveling, playing games, and so much more with you as we grow deeper in our relationship with each other and God this year. We usually meet after worship from 12:30-2:00pm. We'll eat lunch as a large group and then break off into small groups from there. Sometimes we will stay at AdventELC the whole time, sometimes not. Our schedule of ministries and activities will be available.

OUR STAFF

Marcy Layne is the Director of Youth and Family Ministries at AdventELC and will be leading the High School group. She is a former public school music teacher with over 20 years of experience and her Master's Degree in Music Education. She is also a lifelong Christian and married to Pastor Aaron.

Pastor Aaron Layne (aka PAL) has been AdventELC's pastor for 10 years and has been a pastor for 19 years. He will be leading the Confirmation Class, which is usally made up of 6-8 graders. His undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education and he earned his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University. He actually used to teach youth ministry at Capital!

LEGAL STUFF:

I hereby give permission for the person named below to be under the care of the staff and volunteers of Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio. I understand that they will be under the supervision of at least one qualified adult chaperone and other members of Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church.  I understand that if transportation is required to, from, and/or during events that only adults with valid Ohio driver's licenses will be permitted to operate motor vehicles transporting Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church's participants, and that such vehicles will be covered by at least the minimum motor vehicle liability insurance coverage required under Ohio law. 

By signing below, I release all Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church, it's Pastor and staff members, Council, and those serving as chaperones from any liability whatsoever arising from any action taken or omission made by any party while my child is in the care of those named above.
