New Yorkers for Bangladeshi Mutual Aid is new nonprofit that originated during the pandemic in 2020. Initially the group was formed to help the Southeast Asian community find food, supply covid-19 materials, and provide translation services. As the group has progressed and formed a mission statement, we want to provide support to not only Southeast Asian women and children, but any child in need. Our goal is to help1000 kids with a new backpack and other school supplies for the 2024/2025 school year. We are confident we can accomplish this goal with your help. The event will be held Saturday August 31, 2024. We are asking local businesses to either donate a monetary donation to purchase supplies, donate supplies, or leave a bin at your business to collect donations.
