FHS NHS Application 2017-2018
You are invited to apply for membership in the Fremont HS Chapter of the National Honor Society. Current 10th- 12th graders meeting the following requirements should apply. All club member applications are due September 22nd, 2017, by 11:59pm, and will be read by a team of NHS officers and/or faculty members.

Requirements for NHS:
• Service Hours
o Complete at least 20 hours of community service per semester
o 5 of those hours must be through the NHS club, such as through SFS and other Fremont HS NHS sponsored or approved events.
o 15 of those hours can be from community service activities such as SFS or any other non-profit organization. Helping family members or private companies does not count.
• Grades
o Members must maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative academic GPA during their NHS membership
o Grades will be checked regularly. If a member's GPA is found to be below 3.2, he or she will be warned and must raise his or her grades within one grading period.
All applications must be turned in by Friday, September 22nd. $10 membership fees will be collected at the second NHS meeting on Friday, October 6th from those who become members.
NHS meetings will be held on the first Friday of each month.
Graduating Seniors will receive cords depending on membership.
If you are interested in tutoring in the SFS program mark interest, and a separate form will be sent out.
