Join the Southern Conservation Trust as a Volunteer Docent or Wildlife Volunteer at the Fayette Environmental
Education Center! As a Volunteer Docent you can help share knowledge about our historic home turned education center, about our seasonal and permanent exhibits, and our monthly environmental education programs. Docents play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our new and returning visitors! 
Or join us as a Wildlife Volunteer where you can gain valuable experience caring for our ambassador snakes, turtles, and newts! Start off by learning the basics of providing exceptional care for these animals. Those who are committed can eventually work their way up to handling and leading drop in animal presentations to add to their resume! Or join us to do both! 

The Fayette Environmental Education Center is open:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 - 1:00 PM 

Qualifications:
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Commitment to a regular volunteer shift
✔ Ability to engage with diverse audiences
✔ Comfortable working independently or with a partner
✔  Not suggested for finite community service hours
